On December 10, 2024, the 12-inch production line of Huahong Wuxi IC R&D and manufacturing base (Phase II) ushered in the milestone of completion of the chip casting, which not only marks that the project has formally stepped into the production and operation period from the engineering and construction period, but also signifies that Huahong Group's advanced featured process capability and manufacturing capacity have stepped up to a new level, which expands the new space for development and injects the new kinetic energy for accelerating the development of new productive forces. The new stage will expand the new space and inject new energy for development to accelerate the development of new quality productivity. Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Eleventh National People's Congress and former Vice Chairman of Hua Hong Group, Hua Jianmin, Secretary of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, Xin Changxing, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hua Hong Group and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Zhang Susin, attended the conference and jointly launched the production line to cast the film.Hua Hong Wuxi Base is an important initiative of Hua Hong Group to deeply implement the national strategy of regional integration in the Yangtze River Delta, and is of landmark significance in Hua Hong's new 20-year development strategy. Since the start of construction in March 2018, it has gone through two infrastructures and two rounds of production expansion, with a total investment of more than $10 billion. The second phase of the project focuses on automotive-grade chip manufacturing, building a 12-inch speciality process production line with a monthly capacity of 83,000 chips. Since the start of construction in June last year, the construction team has pushed forward the project with high standards and high efficiency, and completed the project 100 days ahead of schedule, creating a new benchmark for the construction of production lines in the industry. Under the ‘integrated’ strategic layout of Dahua Hong, Shanghai and Wuxi have achieved flexible sharing of production capacity, iterative upgrading of processes, increasing perfection of platforms and accelerated introduction of new products, so as to better serve the needs of economic and social development.
